Assemblywoman Lynn Daucher Joins List
of Van Tran Endorsers
(Garden Grove) - Today State Assemblywoman Lynn Daucher announced her
endorsement of frontrunner Van Tran in his race for the open 68th Assembly
Seat.
"Van Tran is committed to improving schools here in Orange County
and throughout California," said Assemblywoman Daucher. "His
focus on limiting waste in bureaucracy and making sure more of the money
we spend gets to the classroom is exactly the message we need in Sacramento."
A teacher by profession, Assemblywoman Daucher has long been an advocate
for improving education in California. Prior to being elected in 2000
to the Assembly, Lynn Daucher served on the Brea City Council and as a
Trustee of the Brea Olinda Unified School District.
"I am proud to have Assemblywoman Daucher support my candidacy,"
said Van Tran. "Orange County students deserve a world-class education
and I'm committed to improving our schools so we can deliver that. Lynn's
endorsement really underlines how important education is to my candidacy."
Assemblywomen Daucher joins a broad base of support for Van Tran, including
taxpayer groups, public safety leaders and local elected officials. Among
the 22 other legislators endorsing Tran is current 68th District Assemblyman
Ken Maddox and Orange County Assemblymen Todd Spitzer and Tom Harman.
Van Tran was first elected to the Garden Grove City Council in November
2000, gaining more votes than any other candidate in Garden Grove history.
