Stop the Deficit Spending
In the last four years, the Democrat-controlled legislature has increased spending nearly 40% — pouring billions into wasteful and inefficient programs — and plunging our state into debt. We must cut the waste, mismanagement and fraud. As our Assemblyman, I will make restoring the fiscal health of California my top priority.

No New Taxes
Now that Governor Schwarzenegger has repealed the car tax, we need strong fiscal conservatives in Sacramento to prevent the "Tax and Spend" liberal majority from raising taxes in other areas. As your elected representative I will oppose all proposals to increase taxes and will fight to cut government waste and rein in the runaway spending.

Death Penalty
If we would truly serve the cause of justice, we must streamline the death penalty appeals process. Justice delayed, is justice denied.

Three Strikes and You're Out
Some politicians want to water down Three Strikes. I say 'No' to that. The Three Strikes Law has been one of the most effective crime reduction tools ever passed in California. When crime goes down we are safer, and our property is more secure. I support Three Strikes as it is, and will oppose efforts to weaken it.

Spending Cap
California is in its present fiscal mess because politicians in Sacramento spent too much money placating the special interests who guarantee their re-election. We need the discipline of a mandated spending cap that will impose fiscal discipline, give the governor the authority he needs to keep the budget in line and let us build up a reserve for emergencies.
