Characteristics

History

Animal studies suggest that clove can lower fever, however there are no reliable studies conducted in humans.

Mosquito repellent

In laboratory tests and field, the clove oil undiluted repelled multiple species of mosquitoes for up to two hours. However, clove oil undiluted also cause rash in sensitive individuals.
